Google Street View comes to Portland, thousands waste time. Seattle geeks not amused
As a map geek who loves virtually landing on PDX runways using the tilt function on Google Earth, this observer was excited to read on several blogs today that Google has released its Portland version of Street View. Here was one commenter’s response on the LifeHacker blog:
Seattleites are still shaking their heads wondering how in the hell Tucson and Pittsburgh got ahead of them. And hitting Portland first really burns. Ditto for Boston, where they wish people would specify *which* Portland they’re talking about.
